Pilot killed as amateur aircraft crashes near Caiguna, about 350 kilometres from WA-SA border

A person aged in his 40s has died after a lightweight aircraft crash in Western Australia close to the South Australian border.

WA Police mentioned the plane crashed about 9.30am on Friday close to Caiguna, a small roadhouse neighborhood positioned alongside the Nullarbor Plain.

“The pilot and sole occupant of the plane, a male in his 40s, died because of the crash,” WA Police mentioned in a press release.
