What appeared like kindness from an excellent Samaritan rapidly become worry and dismay for an aged Sydney couple, who have been carjacked and assaulted.
NSW Police arrested a 53-year-old man on Friday over the incident, which allegedly occurred in Sydney’s south-west on December 13.
About noon, the Wyong man helped the couple with their groceries at a Casula buying middle earlier than asking for a carry.
After letting him into their gold Nissan Micra and driving off, the 81-year-old girl behind the wheel noticed the person swiping her cellphone from her purse.
She pulled over and requested the person to depart.
He left the automobile however then allegedly assaulted the girl, obtained into the driving force’s seat and drove off with the 90-year-old man nonetheless within the automobile.
The person is accused of assaulting the aged man, pushing him out of the car in Liverpool, and driving off.
After a police investigation, the person was arrested at about 8am on Friday and brought to Wyong Police Station.
