Search mounted for missing person last seen kayaking on Friday in Tasmania’s northwest

A search has been mounted for an overdue kayaker missing in Tasmania’s northwest.

The person was final seen at about 8.30pm on Friday when he left to go fishing off Perkins Island, in line with police.

Emergency crews together with marine police, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, native police, and floor search and rescue crews are searching for the person.

The kayaker was final seen together with his blue and black kayak after he left to go fishing.

There have been sturdy winds on the time he was final seen, Performing Inspector Stewart Williams stated.

Officers urged anybody with details about the lacking man to contact them on 131444.
