A Mount Isa man is behind bars after allegedly attempting to kill his associate and stabbing one other man.
The Troopers Hill man, 23, was arrested after the alleged double stabbing about 10.30pm on Friday.
Queensland police responding to stories of a critical assault discovered a person in his 40s and a lady in her 20s, every with a number of stab wounds.
Neither had been in life-threatening situations and had been taken to the native hospital.
The alleged assailant was arrested on the scene.
He has been charged with the home violence-related tried homicide of the girl in addition to contravening a home violence order.
