M1 north of Sydney hit with heavy traffic after major crash on Hawkesbury River Bridge

A number of autos have crashed in a major incident on the M1 freeway north of Sydney.

The crash on the Hawkesbury River Bridge at Mooney Mooney closed two of three northbound lanes, based on the federal government’s Reside Site visitors NSW web site.

These lanes have since reopened however site visitors has been closely impacted.

“All northbound lanes on the Hawkesbury River Bridge have reopened, with autos concerned within the crashes being moved to the shoulder of the remaining space off-ramp,” Reside Site visitors NSW stated on Fb.

“Northbound site visitors remains to be very heavy so proceed to permit loads of additional journey time.”
