An 18-year-old man lit a string of bushfires north of Perth after which returned to assist battle them, Western Australian police allege.
The teenager has been charged with three counts of willfully lighting a hearth more likely to injure or trigger injury.
He’s accused of throwing lit matches into scrub alongside Beermullah Street at Gingin on November 29 and 30.
Police allege the person then notified the native bushfire brigade and assisted in preventing the fires along with his personal ute fitted with a water tank.
He’s anticipated to seem earlier than the Joondalup Magistrates Courtroom on Wednesday.
