TikTok video shows Gold Coast shop worker confronting woman accused of stealing clothes

A Gold Coast store employee who confronted a lady accused of stealing “a whole bunch of {dollars} value” of garments says the enterprise “cannot afford” to lose the inventory.

Footage filmed by a buyer displaying Marnie Ponting, from Destani Trend in Helensvale, confronting the lady and taking again the inventory has gone viral on social media.

“Excuse me, these pants that you have in your bag, you did not pay for them,” the client doing the filming is heard to say within the video, earlier than Ponting grabs the inventory out of the lady’s bag.

Ponting advised 7NEWS she and the client adopted the lady to a close-by grocery store, after having initially been distracted from the alleged shoplifting in her retailer.

“We had three girls enter the shop. They’d about eight youngsters with them. They had been operating across the retailer, pulling garments down, simply making a multitude of my retailer,” she mentioned.
