One among NSW’s most-wanted males has been discovered hiding within the hull of a yacht in Darwin.
Northern Territory police arrested the 32-year-old because the vessel tried to sail out of Cullen Bay Marina on Wednesday afternoon.
Two males aged 52 and 43 have been additionally arrested.
The fugitive, reportedly Mark Horne, was discovered when the yacht was searched.
It ended a nationwide manhunt that began in October final 12 months after he allegedly skipped bail.
Horne was resulting from face trial in NSW for allegedly being concerned within the taking pictures of a truck driver and the theft of $550,000 within the Blue Mountains in September 2020.
Australian Federal Police commander Erica Merrin mentioned the joint organized crime taskforce had responded rapidly and diligently.
“This incident demonstrates how organized crime has no borders and highlights the significance of real inter-agency collaboration to maintain our Australian neighborhood protected,” he mentioned.
Horne will face an extradition listening to in Darwin on Monday.
