A 99-year-old lady has died after being hit by a tram Essendon on Tuesday afternoon.
The lady from Essendon North was using a mobility scooter and was crossing Mount Alexander Rd close to Lincoln Rd when she was hit by the tram at about 1.20pm.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening accidents, and later died.

The tram driver and various passengers weren’t injured throughout the incident.
The police are investigating and need to converse to the passengers who had left the tram earlier than the police received to the scene.
A report will now be ready for the coroner.
