Sydney man without helmet dies after being flung from scooter in Wilton

A person has died after being flung off an electrical scooter in Sydney’s southwest.

Police say the 44-year-old man was using the scooter within the suburb of Wilton about 11pm on Saturday when it clipped the gutter and he was thrown to the bottom.

The person suffered a severe head damage, with family and friends conducting CPR till NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived.

He was taken to Campbelltown Hospital in a vital situation however died in a single day, police stated on Sunday.

Police have been instructed that the person was not sporting a helmet.

An investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the crash and a report will likely be ready for the coroner.
