A person who waited till the third day of a trial for raping his de facto stepdaughter to plead responsible has been resentenced after a gaggle of judges decided his jail time was “manifestly insufficient”.
The preliminary 10-year sentence he obtained in August 2022 has been put aside by the NSW Court docket of Felony Enchantment, which has imposed a 12-year sentence with a non-parole interval of eight years.
