Queensland storms: Man struck by lightning in Queensland’s north

A person has reportedly been struck by lightning in Queensland’s north.

Paramedics have been referred to as to the scene at Towers Avenue in Charters Towers, close by Townsvilleat 4.36pm on Monday.

A person in his 30s was handled following experiences of the lightning strike.

He was transported in a “very steady situation” to Charters Towers Hospital.

It’s the second incident in two days, after a golfer was struck by lightning on a course in Brisbane‘s north.

The person was on the course at Brendale on Sunday afternoon when a large series of storms rolled by Queensland’s southeast.

He was handled by paramedics on the scene, earlier than being rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Ladies’s Hospital.

Queensland Ambulance Service stated he was in a essential situation.
