Queensland boaters have been filmed committing acts of animal cruelty which have killed at the least two swans on Gold Coast waterways.
A number of members of the general public witnessed one marine vessel over the course of every week in late January tormenting and purposefully driving on the swans on Lake Orr at Varsity Lakes.

9 different incidents of swans being injured and one swan killed on the Gold Coast had been reported to the RSPCA throughout this week.
“The neighborhood won’t stand for these deliberate acts of animal cruelty,” RSPCA Inspector Kyle Patrech stated.
“It’s evil.”
One other swan was purposely struck and killed by a marine vessel on March 5 at roughly 4.20pm.
Witnesses reported seeing the act in a canal which linked Clear Island Lake and Lake Orr in Mermaid Waters.
Each useless swans had been collected by the RSPCA and the charity is aiding the Gold Coast Water Police with their investigations.
“Our investigations have proven that the people accountable are juvenile offenders,” Senior Sergeant Tony Nelson stated.
The incidents are “very distressing,” he stated.
“The operation of vessels to intentionally goal wildlife will probably be totally investigated by the Queensland Police and any offenses recognized will probably be handled by means of the judicial course of.
“Sadly there appears to have been a rise on this type of conduct within the final couple of months.
“Whether or not this conduct has been noticed on social media and we have folks copying it or whether or not we’re simply speaking a few small variety of people.
“The vessels are being operated illegally as effectively, as a result of they’re illegal actions which contain dashing and freestyling.”
Investigations are persevering with and anybody with data is urged to contact the police.
