Western Sydney College has appointed former parliamentary cyber safety director Nadia Taggart to the newly-created function of chief data safety officer (CISO).
Taggart stepped into the function in January; it was created as a response to the rise of cyber dangers confronted by the schooling sector.
She – together with the college’s chief data and digital officer Scott Snyder – experiences to senior vice-president Peter Pickering. Snyder took on the CIDO function final September.
Taggart wrote on LinkedIn that the college had “wonderful initiatives and plans for the subsequent few years.”
