Star Entertainment Group guilty of breaching Queensland casino laws

The operator of two of Queensland’s greatest casinos has pleaded responsible to unlawful practices after it allowed bank cards for use when shopping for playing chips.

Star Leisure, which operates Brisbane’s Treasury On line casino and the Star Gold Coast, pleaded responsible to seven prices beneath the On line casino Management Act 1982.

Lawyer-Basic Shannon Fentiman stated the costs associated to Part 66 of the Act which prohibits the acquisition of playing chips with a bank card.

The offenses occurred between 2 June 2017 and 29 December 2018, and between 23 March 2022 and a couple of April 2022.

Sentencing is ready down for June 2.
