Two Adelaide teens hospitalised after being hit by truck outside school

Two youngsters have been taken to hospital with severe accidents, one in a crucial situation, after being hit by a truck outdoors their faculty in Adelaide’s east.

A 16-year-old boy and woman had been struck at a pedestrian crossing on Kensington Street in Marryatville simply after 8am on Wednesday.

“It occurred at pedestrian lights,” Superintendent Narelle Kameniar mentioned on Wednesday morning.

“Each have been taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for his or her accidents, there’s a boy who’s in a crucial situation and a 16-year-old woman in a severe situation.

“It appears like the scholars had been crossing the pedestrian crossing and the truck might have gone by a pink gentle.

“It is an absolute tragedy.”

The driving force of the truck, a 59-year-old man, was not injured and is helping the police with inquiries into the crash.

Kensington Street stays closed to all site visitors between Portrush Street and Hackett Avenue whereas Main Crash investigators study the scene.

Police are asking anybody who witnessed the collision to come back ahead and are advising motorists to keep away from the world.
