Croc-attack survivor airlifted to Cairns hospital

A person is in hospital after being attacked by a crocodile in far north Queensland.

The assault occurred at Archer Level close to Cooktown simply earlier than 1pm on Saturday.

The person, aged in his forties, suffered lacerations to his head, shoulder and leg.

He was airlifted by a Queensland Ambulance helicopter to Cairns Hospital in a secure situation.
