Police are trying to find a Melbourne man who tried to gentle a home and its occupant on hearth after absconding from a hospital on Saturday morning.
Police say a person, who they imagine to be 25-year-old Bartholemew Griffth, entered a home on Salisbury Grove, Northcote about 1.30am after checking himself out of hospital.
As soon as inside, Griffth is alleged to have turned on the gasoline within the kitchen after which left.

He’s accused of returning greater than an hour later with petrol, pushing previous the 52-year-old feminine occupant of the house to realize entry and doused all the property.
Police say he then tried to ignite a chunk of paper.
“(The) feminine occupant managed to lock a safety door, however the offender then splashed the door and her with petrol and proceeded to throw matches in the direction of her,” Victoria Police stated.
The Ivanhoe man was unsuccessful in his makes an attempt to ignite the petrol, and fled the scene on foot.
Police have launched photos of Griffth within the hopes that somebody could acknowledge him and know the place he’s.
