A airplane has made an emergency touchdown at Melbourne Airport amid stories of smoke coming from the cockpit.
The emergency unfolded about 11.15am on Tuesday, when greater than a dozen fireplace and different emergency providers responded to the alarm from the incoming Rex flight.
“As per Melbourne Airport Emergency Plan, emergency providers had been activated and attended,” an airport spokesperson stated.
The Rex 737-800 was capable of land safely, and all passengers had been capable of disembark.
“The airplane landed with out incident and taxied to the bay. Emergency providers are actually within the means of standing down,” the spokesperson stated.
Rex had flights arriving in Melbourne from Brisbane and Sydney about 11.15am on Tuesday. It isn’t identified which was affected by the emergency.
