Two men drown while struggling to escape from popular waterfall in Far North Queensland

Two males have drowned after “struggling to get out of the water” at a well-liked waterfall in far north Queensland.

The 21 and 59-year-old males have been in Crystal Cascades, west of Cairnson Tuesday afternoon when bystanders referred to as emergency providers.

The lads have been mentioned to have been “struggling to get out of the water”, a police spokeswoman advised 7NEWS.com.au.

Police wouldn’t verify a report suggesting the younger man may have been trying to rescue the older man after he had grow to be stricken.

A rescue operation was launched however the males couldn’t be discovered.
