McIlroy takes $3m hit for missing special PGA event

4-times main winner Rory McIlroy will forfeit $US3 million ($A4.4m) from his Participant Affect Efficiency earnings given his choice to skip this week’s RBC Heritage, a PGA Tour supply has confirmed.
