Alleged road rage incident on Melbourne’s EastLink in Wantirna South leaves man critical, children injured

Two males have confronted courtroom over an alleged highway rage incident on a Melbourne freeway that left an harmless driver preventing for all times and several other youngsters injured.

The incident started simply earlier than 5pm on Sunday when Khoder Tawil and Cameron Dawson, each 43, had been driving on EastLink in Wantirna South and allegedly turned concerned in an altercation.

When each drivers exited the freeway at Excessive St and turned onto Stud Rd, Tawil’s automobile allegedly collided with a 3rd automobile, a silver Toyota Rav4.

The Toyota flipped onto the middle median strip and the 52-year-old driver was critically injured and stays in hospital.

4 youngsters aged between 17 years and 5 months previous, touring in a Ford station wagon, all suffered non-life-threatening accidents.

A 10-year-old passenger in a Mitsubishi ute was not injured within the incident.

When requested outdoors Melbourne Magistrates’ Courtroom if there was something he wished to say in regards to the crash, Tawil instructed 7NEWS it was “terrifying”.

“I am remorseful, I am sorry,” he stated.

Tawil has been charged with harmful driving inflicting critical damage.

Dawson has been charged with conduct endangering life and harmful driving inflicting critical damage.

Dawson stated he shall be preventing the costs and wouldn’t remark additional, saying he was awaiting his “day in courtroom” to “show his innocence”.

Tawil and Dawson stay on bail and shall be again in courtroom in July.
