An investigation is underway after a person was fatally shot by police at a station in Sydney’s west.
Police say the person attended Auburn Police Station after midnight on Tuesday morning with a knife.

It is alleged he threatened the police with the weapon earlier than he was shot.
Paramedics attended and took the person to hospital however he died shortly after.
It’s believed that the person was concerned within the stabbing of a 28-year-old man at 12.03am at Auburn Railway Station. Neither man is understood to at least one one other.
The youthful man was handled by paramedics on the prepare station and brought to Westmead Hospital in a steady situation.
