The incident has been ongoing since roughly 1.50pm on Wednesday.
Residents inside the exclusion zone are urged to remain inside their properties and lock their doorways.
Police are “presently conducting emergency operations within the space”, a spokesperson mentioned.
They requested that members of the general public and plane don’t attend the declared location.
