Buddhist temple in Melbourne’s southeast gutted by massive fire on Sunday

A hearth has severely broken a Buddhist temple in southeastern Melbourne.

About 80 firefighters battled the blaze on the Vivid Moon Buddhist Temple in Springvale South on Sunday night.

“Crews have been referred to as to the place of worship in Springvale Street round 8pm and arrived to seek out a big multi-storey constructing ablaze,” Fireplace Rescue Victoria mentioned.

Emergency authorities suggested residents within the surrounding space to stay indoors, shut doorways and home windows and switch off heating and cooling techniques.

Fireplace crews mentioned the blaze was underneath management at 10.35pm.
