The bomb squad is responding to a suspected explosive machine in Melbourne’s southeast.
Police were called to Cranbourne on Saturday morning to conduct a security examine on a person in a automobile.
“Officers have been known as to Cranbourne Drive to conduct a welfare examine on a person sighted in a automobile about 11.50am,” Victoria Police stated in an announcement.

“When police arrived the automobile was unoccupied however a firearm and suspected improvised explosive machine have been situated inside.”
Neighboring properties on Cranbourne Drive have been evacuated as a precaution.
The Bomb Response Unit is attending the scene.
“The male sighted within the automobile is but to be situated and investigations stay ongoing,” police stated.
