NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has apologized for carrying a Nazi costume to his 21st birthday celebration, saying it was a grave mistake.
At a unprecedented press convention, Mr Perrottet mentioned he was telling “this fact” after a colleague alerted him to the data of the costume.
Mr Perrottet mentioned he had grappled with that poor choice “for my life” and had considered talking of it up to now.
“Once I was 21, at my 21st fancy costume occasion, I wore a Nazi uniform,” he informed reporters on Thursday.
“I am deeply ashamed of what I did and I am actually sorry for the damage and the ache this can trigger proper throughout our state and notably to members of the Jewish neighborhood, Holocaust survivors, veterans and their households.”
