Native surfers who dived in to rescue the couple after listening to cries for assist advised 7NEWS Mulhall was screaming out to them to “save my spouse”.
The pair’s five-year-old daughter was watching from the shore and screamed for assist when she noticed her dad and mom moving into bother.
Mulhall leaves behind his daughter Abigail, 13, and the couple’s two different youngsters Gary, 10, and Amelia, 5, in line with a fundraiser launched for the household’s funeral prices.
