A household of endangered northern quolls went on an unplanned 5600km journey from one finish of Australia to the opposite after catching a trip in a pumpkin container.
The mom and her 4 infants have been present in a vegetable field on the Melbourne Wholesale Market in Epping on December 13.

It is believed the quolls bought into the pumpkin container whereas at a farm in far north Queensland and by accident made the journey south together with the greens.
They have been checked over by Melbourne Zoo vets whereas officers from Victoria’s Conservation Regulator discovered their unique habitat close to Cairns in Queensland’s far north.
The quolls have been flown again house to the Sunshine State on January 5 the place they have been safely launched again into the bush.

The endangered marsupials have been fortunate to outlive the 5600km journey to Victoria, Queensland senior wildlife officer Dinouk Perera stated.
“Northern quolls are native to tropical and sub-tropical climates throughout Australia and have tailored to thrive in hotter circumstances, which implies they aren’t constructed to stay in a usually colder place like Melbourne,” Perera stated.
“These quolls are very fortunate to have been rescued and brought into care, as they’d traveled a good distance with out meals or water.”
