French police clash with anti-pension reform protesters

Riot police have clashed with protesters in Paris as a brand new demonstration occurred towards the French authorities’s plans to lift the nation’s retirement age.

Reuters TV broadcast photographs of tear fuel being utilized by police to cope with crowd dysfunction as protesters gathered in Paris’ Place de la Concorde, close to the Assemblee Nationale parliament constructing.

President Emmanuel Macron’s authorities needs to lift France’s retirement age by two years to 64, which the federal government says is crucial to make sure the system doesn’t go bust.
