A bunch of neighbors in Helensvale say they’ve “had sufficient” of youth crimeafter they carried out a residents arrest on a bunch of youngsters who allegedly drove into parked autos on their road.
After listening to a “loud crash” on Tuesday, residents of Gippsland Drive in Helensvale chased down the driving force and his passengers as they tried to flee on foot.

Allegedly inside have been a 17-year-old driver and three passengers aged between 15 and 16 who tried to flee.
Neighbors sprung into motion, performing a citizen’s arrest till the police arrived.
“I intercepted considered one of them, who stayed with me, and one other member of the general public, considered one of our neighbors, got here and helped me to carry that particular person right here,” a resident stated.
The three different teenagers returned later.
“By that point various neighbors had come out,” the resident stated.
“We’re lucky to have a terrific response from our neighbourhood.

The resident stated the youngsters have been inflicting a commotion.
“A number of the neighbors had heard them from about two or three streets away,” he stated.

“They completely may have killed any person.”
The automotive belonged to one of many youngsters, with open bottles of alcohol and drug utensils allegedly discovered inside.
