‘Larrikin Priest’ Father Bob Maguire dies aged 88

A lot-loved Catholic priest and social justice campaigner Father Bob Maguire has died on the age of 88, his basis confirmed Wednesday.

Recognized universally as Father Bob, the typically controversial Melbourne cleric was referred to as a lot for his humorousness as he was for his social justice advocacy and religion.

He was parish priest of Sts Peter and Paul’s Church in South Melbourne from 1973 to 2012, till he was ordered to retire as an lively priest by the Catholic Church due to its guidelines that monks needed to retire at age 75.
