Mardi Gras organizers are scratching their heads over Senator Lidia Thorpe’s one-woman protest, which held up the Oxford avenue parade till the police stepped in.
Footage reveals her briefly halting the march whereas police try to maneuver her..
In a video of the incident shared on social media, the unbiased senator will be seen mendacity on her again immediately in entrance of a float.
Two cops then method Senator Thorpe as the gang begins to boo.

Senator Thorpe then bought to her ft and may very well be seen speaking with the police and Mardi Gras crew.
“About 9pm final evening a lady lay in entrance of a float on Oxford Road, momentarily stopping the progress of the parade,” NSW Police informed AAP on Sunday.
“She was later faraway from the parade on the request of organizers for breaching the phrases of her participation.”

A spokesman for Sydney Mardi Gras confirmed the parade had been interrupted by Senator Thorpe as she tried to stage a protest.
“Whereas we respect the person’s proper to protest, interrupting the parade on this method has important implications for the protection of our individuals and viewers,” the spokesperson mentioned.
AAP has contacted the workplace of Senator Thorpe for remark.
