Little girl saved from drowning by bystander with pool noodle

A younger woman has had her life saved by a bystander after she was pulled unconscious from a pool in Sydney’s west.

Paramedics rushed to the scene after the little woman was present in a pool at Merrylands Swimming Middle on Burnett Avenue at 3:35pm.

She was saved after bystanders seen her in hassle within the water and used a pool noodle to deliver her nearer to the life guards.

The little girl, believed to be age 4, became conscious after four rounds of CPR.

She was taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.

The life guards pulled her from the water unconscious and administered 4 rounds of CPR earlier than she grew to become responsive, in accordance with NSW Ambulance Inspector Kevin McSweeney.

“When paramedics arrived, fortunately the woman was acutely aware and respiration,” he stated.

“We simply wish to acknowledge the younger fellow within the pool who was in a position to get assist for the little woman.”

Paramedics then took her to The Youngsters’s Hospital at Westmead in a secure situation.

“Water associated incidents can usually have a tragic end result, however luckily at this time had a contented one

ending,” Mr McSweeney stated.

“We urge everybody to stay vigilant round water and to by no means take your eyes off your children.”

Cumberland Metropolis Council which runs the pool has been contacted for remark.
