A strong earthquake has struck off the coast of Broome Western Australia.
The 4.9 magnitude tremor was detected simply after 5pm native time on Monday, in accordance with GeoScience Australia.
It hit about 200 kilometers offshore from the favored vacationer city within the state’s far north, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Greater than 115 individuals had reported feeling the quake as of 6pm WA time.
Locals took to social media to share their experiences on Monday evening, reporting that their homes and cupboards had been shaking in the course of the tremor.
One girl claims the tremor lasted 5 minutes.
No harm has been reported at this stage, the WA Division of Hearth and Emergency Providers stated.
Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology stated there was no tsunami risk from the tremor.
