A girl and her teenage son have survived a lightweight airplane crash off the WA coast.
The pair have been in a position to escape the partially submerged aircraft and swam to shore after it crashed into the ocean off Leighton Seaside in North Fremantle, police mentioned.

The airplane crashed about 30m to 50m offshore simply after 5pm (WST) on Thursday earlier than changing into nearly solely submerged within the water, WA Police report.
The 45-year-old pilot, Michelle Yeates, and her 15-year-old son Jacob have been checked over by paramedics after they reached the seashore.
