Nissan is transferring to make its electrified automobiles extra aggressive by rethinking and reconfiguring powertrain growth and manufacturing to chop prices by 30 p.c over the subsequent three years in comparison with 2019.

This week, it unveiled its “X-in-1” method beneath which core EV and e-Energy (Nissan’s hybrid know-how out there on the X-Path) powertrain parts will likely be shared and modularised, with a brand new 3-in-1 powertrain prototype, which modularises the motor, inverter and reducer, which is deliberate to be used in EVs.
