Older penguins’ cataract surgery improves quality of life

Profitable cataract surgical procedure on geriatric penguins – three king penguins and three Humboldt penguins – at Jurong Hen Park in Singapore has helped them improve their sight and enhance their high quality of life.

PICTURED: Holly, the Humboldt penguin, post-surgery. A marked enchancment might be seen on her left eye which is now cleared up after the cataract was eliminated. Keepers have seen that she is extra lively and aware of her atmosphere, a sign that her imaginative and prescient has improved.
