Patrick Dangerfield will lead Geelong in a protection of their AFL premiership after his appointment as captain for the 2023 season.
Dangerfield will turn out to be Geelong’s 54th VFL/AFL skipper – and the primary new man within the position in 12 seasons – as he replaces retired membership champion Joel Selwood on the helm.
