Residents in a Queensland city have been requested to shelter inside their properties as officers hunt for a probably armed assailant.
Police made an emergency declaration at 10pm on Monday after stories of an armed individual within the city of Warwick, southwest of Brisbane.
Individuals had been requested to remain away from an space bounded by Wooden, Gore, Grafton and Dragon streets.
Anybody residing throughout the exclusion zone was urged to remain inside their properties.
The emergency declaration was Queensland’s second in two days after an almost 10-hour siege in Townsville that ended on Monday morning.
A 50-year-old man was discovered useless in a Kirwan dwelling after firing a number of pictures that hit close by homes and the autos of responding officers.
