Rail operator charged, faces big fine over fatal crash

Queensland Rail may face a multimillion-dollar high-quality over allegations of failing to adjust to security duties referring to the loss of life of a practice driver.

The June 2021 crash concerned a collision between a Queensland Rail locomotive with the rear of a stationary Aurizon coal practice at Westwood, about 45km west of Rockhampton.
