Sydney fog delays flights, halts ferries

Flights and ferries in Sydney are resuming regular schedule after heavy fog delayed planes and compelled ferry providers to be cancelled.

The Bureau of Meteorology predicts the fog will clear by midday.

A Sydney Airport spokeswoman confirmed some flights had been delayed on Monday morning however providers had been returning to regular.

Earlier on Monday, Sydney’s Transport Administration Middle halted all ferry providers because of the heavy fog throughout the harbor.

The middle stated providers had since resumed.

“Passengers ought to proceed to permit further journey time and test data shows for service updates as providers return to timetable,” it stated in an announcement.

Sailors within the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race anticipate the fog to have largely cleared by the race begin at 1pm.

Nonetheless, they’ve been warned it may proceed down the NSW coast into the evening.
