The person who kidnapped four-year-old Cleo Smith from her household WA campsite in late 2021 will spend at the least 11 years and 6 months behind bars.
Terence Kelly pleaded responsible to forcibly taking a toddler below 16 in Perth District Court final 12 months.

On Wednesday, Choose Julie Wager sentenced Kelly to 13 years and 6 months in jail, with a non-parole interval of 11 years and 6 months.
The Carnarvon native admitted taking Cleo from a tent on the distant Blowholes campsite on October 16, 2021.
Cleo had been tenting there along with her household when she was taken.
The four-year-old lady had woken up about 1.30am that morning and requested her mum Ellie for a drink of water.
When Ellie awoke later that morning, about 6am, the flap to the tent was open and Cleo and her sleeping bag had been lacking.
Cleo’s disappearance sparked a significant police investigation, with the WA authorities saying a $1 million reward for data.
Early on the morning of November 3, the investigation led detectives to a property 75km south of the campsite within the city of Carnarvon, the place they discovered Cleo alive — 18 days after she went lacking.
The four-year-old was discovered alone in a room contained in the locked home, simply minutes away from her circle of relatives’s dwelling.
She was discovered bodily unhurt and taking part in with toys.
Kelly was arrested on a close-by avenue about the identical time.
