A 3rd man has been charged over a violent road protest outdoors a church in Sydney’s southwest.
Hassle erupted on a Belfield road on Tuesday evening when a small group of LGBTQI+ activists have been attacked outdoors a church earlier than NSW One Nation chief Mark Latham gave a speech.
Mr Latham was invited to talk on the church corridor about parental rights forward of Saturday’s NSW election.
Police say the LGBTQI+ activists have been attacked by a big mob which pelted them and the police with glass bottles and different projectiles.
A constable was injured and the riot squad was known as in to disperse the out-of-control crowd.
Detectives charged two males – aged 34 and 41 – on Wednesday and a 42-year-old man was arrested at Campsie Police Station on Wednesday evening.
He was charged with assaulting a police officer throughout public dysfunction, hindering or resisting a police officer within the execution of responsibility and affray.
The Moorebank man was granted conditional bail and can seem earlier than Bankstown Native Courtroom on April 11.
