The Victorian Division of Well being has launched a chief analytics officer (CAO) function that may take possession of the Heart for Victorian Information Linkage and its analytics fellowship program.
The newly created function was established by the state well being division following a restructuring of the Victorian Company for Well being Info (VAHI).
Set to report back to VAHI chief government Lance Emerson, the CAO will oversee the strategic course of the Heart for Victorian Information Linkage (CVDL), which manages the Victorian Linkage Map.
The linkage map permits the identification of information that belong to the identical individual throughout the Victorian well being and human providers datasets.
Different tasks of the function embrace oversight of the Division of Well being’s analytics technique unit, and its information and analytics fellowship program.
The fellowship program was launched in August 2022 beneath the management of Japanese Well being Intensive Care Providers deputy director, Dr Graeme Duke.
A Division of Well being spokesperson instructed iTnews the brand new CAO will likely be accountable for “advocating for using information to assist enhance affected person care, operations, training, and analysis.”
