A Brisbane-bound plane has been compelled to make an emergency touchdown at Perth Airport after a fault was detected shortly after takeoff in WA’s capital.
Virgin has blamed a “technical problem” for the drama on flight VA469, with passengers informed there was an issue with the hydraulic flaps on the wings.

It meant that the pilot would wish to rely solely on the brakes upon touchdown, and there was an opportunity the Boeing 737 might catch on hearth.
