WorkSafe is investigating a second death within the last week after a person was killed in a suspected office incident Perth’s southeastern suburbs.
Ambulance crews have been despatched to drilling tools producer Schramm’s base on Banksia Rd in Welshpool about 10.20am Monday.
Tragically, the person couldn’t be saved.

It’s understood that he could have been crushed by tools after a platform grew to become unstable. Worksafe investigators have been despatched to the scene.
In an announcement Schramm, a US and Australian producer and provider to the hydraulic drill trade, stated it was complying totally with authorities and deliberate to research the incident itself.
“All related authorities, together with WorkSafe WA, are on website, and Schramm is helping totally with all investigations,” the agency stated.
“All work on website has ceased to permit WorkSafe to hold out its investigation.
“It is a devastating day for everybody at Schramm, and our ideas are with the deceased’s household, mates and colleagues at this extraordinarily troublesome time.
“Worker security and well-being is our highest precedence, and counseling has been made obtainable for all staff.”
The tragedy comes after a employee was struck and killed at a BHP rail yard in Port Hedland.
Jody Byrne had labored with the mining large for nearly ten years earlier than he was fatally injured about 9.30pm Tuesday.
