Woolworths supermarket reveals what saw four workers fall ill at Mentone, Melbourne store

A defective fridge has been blamed after 4 staff had been taken to hospital having mysteriously fallen in poor health at a Woolworths grocery store in Mentone, Melbourne.

It’s understood emergency crews initially responded to stories of a fuel leak throughout the grocery store’s bakery part on Friday morning, though that was dominated out as the difficulty.

The grocery store large revealed to 7NEWS.com.au that it’s believed kitchen tools triggered the weird emergency.

“We would wish to thank emergency companies for his or her swift response to an incident that occurred at our Mentone retailer this morning,” a Woolworths spokesperson stated.

Ambulance Victoria was known as to the shop about 8.10am on Friday, with three girls and a person taken to Monash Medical Middle in Clayton in a secure situation for commentary.

All 4 workforce members have since been cleared.
