A lady and her teenage son have swum to shore after the sunshine aircraft they had been in crashed into the ocean off Leighton Seaside in North Fremantle.
WA Police say the aircraft crashed about 30 to 50 meters offshore simply after 5pm (WST) on Thursday and is now principally submerged within the water.
The 45-year-old pilot, Michelle Yeates, and her 15-year-old son Jacob had been checked over by paramedics after they reached the seashore however had been unhurt.
