Exclusion zone established in Nerang as Queensland Police declare PSPA

An exclusion zone was established as a part of an ongoing operation on the Gold Coast and a person has been arrested.

Queensland Police made an emergency declaration below the Public Security Preservation Act (PSPA) at 5.45pm on Thursday.

The exclusion zone included Crusader Approach, between Weedons Highway and Centurion Crescent, in Nerang.

“Officers had been known as to an tackle inside the exclusion zone round 5:20pm earlier than a risk to public security was recognized, ensuing within the declaration,” police mentioned.
